We buried my grandmother a few weeks ago. She was ninety-four when she died at home with family around her, peacefully.

We had a massive lightning storm in Toronto last night. I set my camera to do 15 second exposures at 17 seconds intervals for three hours and from 660 shots more than 60 of them had lightning in them.

Small sparks
My digital SLR died, with near perfect timing, during breakfast on the second day of my honeymoon. It buzzed and clicked, focusing and firing the shutter, but it refused to save to memory any of the images I managed to capture.
Needless to say, I used many colourful words to describe my feelings at that time.
